The Sacred Cauldron

"Witch's Pot"

The cauldron is one of the most common of the Witches sacred tools. The iron it is cast out (forged) of is a symbol of strength and protection and contains the elements of earth and fire. The black colour represents the darkness of the void or the womb of creation. Traditional cauldron’s have 3 legs to symbolize the triple goddess… Maiden, mother, crone.

Cauldrons can be used to burn herbs, resins and incense with a charcoal tab. They can also be filled with water for scrying.
